Lions are dedicated to SELFLESS, EFFECTIVE, COMMUNITY SERVICE.
Lions Club International is the world's largest service club organisation. There are 1.4 million members active in 34,000 communities around the globe. Lions are dedicated to selfless effective community service. Lions are ordinary people who do amazing things. They are men and women who volunteer their time to humanitarian causes each year. As a volunteer organisation, when a Euro is raised by Lions Club International, it goes directly to charity. All administration costs are met by the Members of the Club who contribute a fee each year to defray administration costs. Therefore you can be assured that every Euro donated by you is used for the purposes you.
Located in West Co. Dublin, the Lucan Lions Club serves Lucan and the local community . However, many of our projects also help people outside this area. Please see the Beneficiaries page to see some of the projects we are involved in.
Lucan Lions Club has served the Lucan and surrounding community in many practical ways for almost 20 years. Over that time the Lions club has shared around €0.5 m in financial assistance and kind to those in need both on a national and international basis.. During the past year, some €50,000 in monies and food hampers were distributed to a broad range of worthy needs in the community.
Our membership at present is around 16 men and women, who give willingly of their time and talents to help others. However, it is not all work. We also enjoy the social side of Lionism, both at local and District level. Irish Lions, from both the Irish Republic and Northern Ireland form our District, known as District 105-I.
We meet up on Every Tuesday of the month at 8.30 pm at Lucan Spa Hotel.
